I’ve never posted on Black Flag, and frankly, after about five years of blogging, I ought to be ashamed of myself. They weren’t the fathers of punk or hardcore, but they were one of the best bands of the genre. This show was played at Kent State, site of well-known oppression and violence, so it’s the ideal place for Rollins to yell out the words to “Police Story:”This fucking city is run by pigs! They take the rights away from all the kids! . . . They hate us, we hate them, we can’t win, no way!”
