Author:

We are in an all-new media landscape thanks to social media, the internet, and streaming services. So, marvel home entertainment likely wants to take advantage of the opportunity this presents by branching out into a new field: reality television. marvel Storyboards is a 12-episode reality streaming show starring executive VP and creative director Joe Quesada. Honestly, this relocation is somewhat baffling, especially because this series will debut on YouTube and the marvel homepage for free.

The trailer for marvel Storyboards hit the Internet today, with Joe Quesada providing up the elevator pitch for his reality streaming show. In it, Quesada talks about his long history with marvel (more than 20 years!), then talks about other “storytellers” with whom he feels some kinship. some of the first guests make sense, Hugh Jackman who played Wolverine, Margaret Stohl who wrote The Life of Captain Marvel, and Natalia Cordova Buckley who plays Yo-Yo on Agents of SHIELD. other guests are less obvious, such as Olympic figure skater Johnny Weir and actor singer Christian Borle. (A fellow native of Pittsburgh, PA!)

The series will be divided up into to two “seasons” consistent of six episodes. A second set of six episodes is forthcoming later in the year, however like everything else its production is certainly affected by the COVID-19 shutdown. along with the trailer for the series, Quesada and company will host a panel about the series for Comic con at home on Thursday, July 23, at 11 A.M. Pacific Daylight Time to promote the show.
